Academic Overview
Sir C R Reddy College for Women has been implementing CBCS in all programmes from 2015-2016 onwards with LOCF framework as per the regulations of the affiliated university – Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram. The College has well structured Outcome Based Education (OBE) processes for the effective implementation and delivery of the curriculum to make the students socially committed, employable, innovative and skill oriented.
Curriculum Delivery Planning process at College Level:-
- A Comprehensive consolidated Annual Academic Calendar of the College taking kew from all Departments & support services, is prepared by IQAC every year keeping in view the academic schedule of the university communicated. It is published in the college hand book and displayed in the website.
- The College Staff Council in the including C.Os The Dept. academic plans are displayed on the Dept. notice Board
Curriculum Delivery Process:-
- Before the commencement of each semester, the Dept meetings are conducted to allot courses, academic & Co-curricular activities to faculty.
- Teachers diary is maintained mentioning course plans, course completion reports, details of add on, certificate courses, and other academic activities monitored by HOD, IQAC and Principal.
- Bridge courses, Remedial classes are arranged to needy programmes at the commencement of the semester.
- Teachers prepare ICT based course materials- PPTs, lecture notes etc and transmit the subject content through LMS to respective students.
- Faculty members use LMS and other platforms like moodle, Google class, Kahoot quiz etc. The students can access online quizzes, video lectures of faculty, PPTs of faculty virtual classroom facility in website and other e-resources available with links in College website
- In order to impart practical Knowledge, depts. have collaborations with professional bodies, institutes, corporate offices organizations, NGOs, govt. organizations, industries etc.
- In order to make the learning student centric, industrial visits, quizzes, case discussions, project preparation, models making, organizing seminars, workshops, training programmmes, invited talks etc. are arranged
- The evaluation pattern for all affiliated college is 25:75 for CIA & SEE. The internal assessment includes assignments, group discussion, seminar, quiz, project work etc. for 10 marks, 5 marks for attendance and 10 marks for written examination (Average of 2 CIA tests).
- Grievances in CIA exam if any will be noted in the Dept. register and rectified immediately. The records of CIA are well maintained by faculty.
- The feedback taken by IQAC on curriculum from students, teachers, parents and employers is communicated to the university
- For newly introduced courses, FDPs are being organized. IQAC makes necessary modifications in curriculum delivery based on curriculum feedback from stakeholders and result analysis is done basing which the short comings are listed and communicated to the concerned to submit ATR.
